 Haven't gotten out much .. recovering from surgery.

 My 4 Favorite movies.... for this time of year.

Looks like WINTER!!!!  FROST FROST FROST ALL DAY LONG! 

 

Finally watched The Great Gatsby.... Oh I am so IN LOVE with this movie.. Was my favorite book in High School ..  and NOW this movie just brought light to my life... Leonardo brought him to LIFE and spoke to my heart!!   Oh how this book really spoke to my life, maybe I took it a little to literal .. No I am not a millionaire.. just a romantic and dreamer of love.

Happy Birthday to my Grandson Liam.. we went to Louisiana for his very FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!

We went to New Orleans and spent a few hours walking around... the heat was crazy hot and we were not too impressed... Unfortunately it is a pretty dirty town and just didn't want to be there or look for any other things to see or do.

Went on a trip to Mount Hood, Oregon for a few days with my husband and daughter.  Husband had a work thing and they let us all go!!  YEAH!!


So I showed them Timberline Lodge... we got a history lesson on the tour put on for free by the Ranger!

 Timberline has 3 sections... that come together in a hexagon shape that make the structure more sound and able to withstand the brutal winters and snowfall.  Timberline was built in 15 months in 1937!!!  ALL BY HAND!  

The Hexagon theme is shown here in the Ceiling, Chimney and Light Fixtures.

 More of that famous Hexagon design.. notice the coffee table and seating!

Cute little windows found in the basement/first floor  ... where there is also a bar and viewing of the mountain... Lot of turns and twists down here!!

Went to Mukilteo on Friday to take in some sun and collect some seashells!

Went to Portland to pick up Kindra from my parents.. had a nice lunch at Bannings and then went on to my Aunts house... we stayed the night and she sent home a bed for Lilly to sleep on!

Went for a camping trip to Deception Pass, Washington.

Lake Twenty Two ... Trail 702 on Mount Baker... Washington State.   2.7 mile hike to the lake, very rocky trail and you should have on the right hiking shoes, not be faint of heart and use walking sticks.

We got a new puppy this week... her name is Lilly.

We looked at many dogs before deciding on Lilly... her name was Lucy and she was free on Craigslist.  She seems to be a good fit with our family. She is 7 months old and is a Catahoula Leopard... we think possibly some German Shepard .. we will let the vet decide on that.
